Yes. Most lenders will want you to put down at least 5 percent, but the rest of a down payment can come from other sources, including your parents, in the form of a gift. If your parents give you the entire down payment, many lenders will require them to co-sign the loan with you. In either case, they will require your parents to submit a letter ascertaining that the funds are a gift, not a loan.
